MediaPress Review: Media Gallery Solution for WordPress & BuddyPress

· · 3 min read

MediaPress is a feature-rich, lightweight media gallery plugin for BuddyPress and WordPress. It’s a solid, modern option if you want BuddyPress photo galleries, video galleries, audio galleries, or document galleries on your community site.

BuddyPress needs to be active on your site for the BuddyPress-specific features to work; the WordPress-side features work on their own.

MediaPress is built on a modular architecture, so developers can extend it without the codebase becoming a mess to maintain. It’s designed to be reliable, scalable, and adaptable. Here’s what’s included at the core.
