BuddyPress Wall (often shortened to BP-Wall) is a small plugin that turns the BuddyPress Activity component into something closer to a Facebook-style wall. It pulls a user’s personal activity, group activity, mentions, and friend activity into one “All” tab, and can set that tab as the default landing page for a member’s profile, plus redirect logged-in users there from the home page.
A quick heads-up before you install it: BP-Wall is an older WordPress.org plugin (currently at version 0.9.4) that hasn’t been updated in years and isn’t tested against recent WordPress releases. It may still work fine on some setups, but treat it as unmaintained and test thoroughly on a staging site first, ideally with a proper backup in place.
What It Does
On activation, BP-Wall automatically creates an “All” activity tab on user profile pages and sets it as the default landing tab. A settings page under Settings >> Profile Activity Wall lets you:
- Remove the other default activity tabs, so members only see the combined “All” wall.
- Enable a home and login redirect, so members land on their activity wall right after logging in or clicking Home.

Should You Use It
If you like the idea of a single Facebook-style activity wall but want something actively maintained, it’s worth comparing BP-Wall against newer BuddyPress activity add-ons before committing. Either way, the core BuddyPress plugin remains the foundation, so if you’re setting up a community site from scratch, start there and layer wall-style features on top once you’ve confirmed compatibility with your current BuddyPress and WordPress versions.
